Trinity was started in 2005 by mothers with similar educational philosophies who home schooled their children. Initial enrollment was 14 students from 7 families. Currently (2008-2009) there are 87 students from 58 families.
The school currently includes 3rd grade through11th grade. We meet at St. Helena's church two days a week and then work at home takes up three complete days to make a full week of learning. The parents are required to be completely involved in their children's education as a partnership with Trinity.
Trinity's curriculum is language and history intensive and demands self discipline. The end product is students who are intelligent, literate, and analytical. Our goal is to have a student's mind trained to analyze and draw conclusions. Trinity focuses on rigorous academics, with a goal of preparing students for college.
For the upcoming school year 2010-11, our curriculum is planned for 5th-12th grades. Because many people have expressed an interest in a two-day grammar school program for 1st-4th grades, we are currently working on curriculum for those grades also. If you are interested in the grammar school program, please contact Trinity by email or telephone for more details.
